I grew up believing and being taught that creativity was a competition. That my voice had to fit someone else’s mold to matter. It took setting boundaries (including going no-contact with my family), finding my voice again, and getting messy on purpose to realize this:

Now, I homeschool my daughter, hike with my husband, and paint in my home studio—building a life filled with purpose, movement, and meaning. I’m here for the slow mornings, the spontaneous dance breaks, the wild what-ifs. And I’m here for you, too.
